Thomas J. Seefred Trust Scholarship

Are you an Ohio student who has been diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes? If so, the Thomas J. Seefred Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you! The scholarship, which can be up to $3,000, is open to all Ohio residents with Juvenile Diabetes who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree. This scholarship was established in 2005 and is supported by the Thomas J. Seefred Trust. In order to apply, you must complete the online application, submit supporting documentation, and write a 500-word essay on the impact that Juvenile Diabetes has had on you. About the Scholarship

In a philanthropic effort to support the educational pursuits of college students facing the challenges of Juvenile Diabetes, Thomas J. Seefred of Struthers, Ohio, established the Thomas J. Seefred Trust in 2005. The trust, now a perpetual fund, is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships, each valued up to $3,000, for eligible candidates. Administration of the trust is overseen by Mahoning County Probate Judge, Judge Robert N. Rusu.

Awards will be based on academic promise, personal statement, letter of recommendation, and financial need.

Award

Each recipient may be awarded up to $3,000 to be used for expenses such as tuition, fees, room and board during the academic year
